In the ongoing war of words between cellular and WiMAX, statistics are often the first weapon of choice. As an analyst this is great. The more statistics I can get around any market, the easier it is for me to do my job. However, I have learned over the years to take statistics with a very big grain of salt. They don’t always exactly mean what they appear to mean at first glance. Take, for example, those statistics given around deployments.
